Back to the Birdsong Park with my Yashica LM twin lens reflex camera for more square black and white photography. This time out of the woods focusing on the wonderful shapes of the trees trying to make it in the wet swamp.

Trees always captivate me with their form. They do so both in summer when they're full of foliage and in winter when they are bare and show their frame. And coniferous trees do too! They also can look rather different in summer and winter as they can hold winter's white coat better.
So here we are in winter and in between some dead trees spread around the trail of the Birdsong Park. It's a bright sunny day, there is no snow, but it is still a very cold winter day. Yes, you can see ice on the pond!

From the single general overlooking the whole area I've moved on further bit down the trail to photograph the general's phalanx of trees guarding passage on the trail. It's definitely one of my favorite places to photograph in the park and I always enjoy finding a new take on it. This day, the square format of the camera helped with a different composition and a different point of view.
